Anna Davies, Director & Company Secretary
Anna has over twelve years of Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and Publishing experience.
She spent five years at the National Farmers' Union Scotland as Public Relations and Communications Manager with responsibility for media relations, editing the membership magazine (The Scottish Farming Leader) and other communications before working as Marketing and Communications Manager with Scotland Food & Drink.
Anna studied Psychology at Edinburgh University and so has genuine interest and experience in how businesses can communicate with their customers in the most effective way.
She also has a Chartered Institute of Public Relations qualification which has strengthened her knowledge of Public Relations theory and, importantly for you and your business, effective practice and strategy.
In the past, Anna has also worked for Scottish Field Magazine helping clients with advertising their businesses and writing for the magazine on subjects such as Property and Finance.
Outside of work Anna enjoy riding her horses, walking the dogs and spending time on the East Lothian farm where she lives with her husband. Anna is also a Director of the United East Lothian Agricultural Society which runs the annual Haddington Show.
Anna and her husband have also recently launched Wheatrig Flour - a new business selling flour milled from homegrown wheat to retail and food service outlets across East Lothian and beyond.
Anna's passion for and knowledge of rural Scotland means that when you choose Scene & Herd you are making the right choice.
Ross (Monty) Montague, Director
Formerly Director of the Scottish Countryside Alliance, Monty has now joined Scene & Herd in order to expand the offering for new and existing clients.
Monty has considerable knowledge of rural Scotland, Scottish politics and rural campaigning. With an in depth knowledge of rural ngo's and rural organisations as well as political lobbying and briefing experience, Monty adds to expertise offered by Scene & Herd whilst also strengthening existing services such as event management and copy writing.
With a degree in agriculture and experience of many aspects of the farming industry, Monty is well placed to 'talk farming' for Scene & Herd clients. Scene & Herd works on the principal that 'users' are often the best people to extol the virtues of a product or service to potential new customers - in an agricultural sense, 'farmers sell to farmers', hence one of Monty's specialities is the writing of case studies featuring farmers, their farming systems and how a particular machine, feedstuff or service helps their business.
Away from his desk and the home farm, Monty also squeezes in a farm relief and stock looking service to his workload and enjoys shooting and watching rugby.
