Fenton Barns Nursery, close to North Berwick, has been selected as a finalist in not just one but two categories within the prestigious Scottish NMT Nursery Awards 2019.
Well known for its outdoor learning environment, Fenton Barns Nursery is one of five finalists in the Forest School category, which rewards nurseries that inspire creativity within activities and experiences in a nature-based setting, as well as in the Individual Nursery category which focuses on single site nurseries.
Fenton Barns Nursery, which opened its doors in 2012, provides a unique, high-quality childcare facility within purpose-built premises, where the emphasis is firmly on the outdoors, healthy living and local food.
Caroline Freeman, co-owner of Fenton Barns Nursery, said:
“We are delighted to be in the running for these awards and honoured to be up against some really outstanding nurseries.
“Being nominated for any kind of award like this is superb in that it rewards the hard work of the entire team and demonstrates all the strengths of the Fenton Barns Nursery ethos.
“However, for us, the true reward is in seeing the children in our care thrive, develop and have enormous amounts of fun! Seeing each year group go off to school so well prepared for what lies ahead makes us all incredibly proud of what we do and the uniqueness of what we offer.”
Winners of the Scottish NMT Nursery Awards 2019 will be presented with their trophies at the high-profile gala night held on Friday 30th August at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel, attended by approximately 400 guests.
