We’ve blogged previously on the importance of vehicle branding and visual graphics. A shopfront is undoubtedly great advertising for business but what if your company is home-based or you’re specifically planning to grow your Internet sales market? Google My Business is a free marketing tool which can help potential online customers find your organisation quickly and easily.
Not only does Google My Business help to promote your Business Profile and business website on Google Search and Maps, but you can also connect with your customers, post updates (such as changes to opening hours, new offers etc) to your Business Profile and get valuable insights such as how your customer found you (e.g. through a google search or maps) and which search terms people used to find your business, along with tips for greater engagement.
All you have to do to get started is visit the Google My Business website to claim or create your profile, then verify your business (by post, email, phone call).
Once you’ve created your Business Profile, you should keep it fresh by updating it with new photos, photos, special offers and news – any changes you make are automatically updated in your free Google business website. Remember also to respond to reviews – among consumers that read reviews, 97% read businesses responses to reviews*.
Once verified, you can choose to let customers message you (questions go straight to your phone without revealing your number).
Please get in touch if you would like a marketing health check for your business.
