AgriScot

THE BRIEF

Scene & Herd have been working with AgriScot organisers for 10 years and we have become an integral part of their event execution team, expanding our input as the years have gone by.

Essentially, our remit is to ensure that the event, its sponsors, its exhibitors and its varied and engaging content is communicated to potential attendees and exhibitors by illustrating how AgriScot is “your (ie their) Farmi Business Event” for agricultural professionals from all parts of the industry.

THE STRATEGY

Working alongside organisers (Rural Projects and Board of Directors) Scene & Herd is responsible for media relations, content promotion, event advertising, awards, graphic design, production of marketing literature and sponsor liaison, also contributing towards social media output, sponsor recruitment, seminar programme content, direct mailings and more.

Each year, we develop a PR and Marketing plan which includes design work, advertising placement, media relations strategy, awards timetable and case study and testimonial development, along with all other elements within the communications remit.

THE RESULTS

Attendee numbers at AgriScot have grown year on year and the event has expanded to allow a larger number of exhibitors to display at the event, all thanks to the overall growth in reputation of the event and its content.

Visitors travel from all over the Britain, Irealnd and beyond to attend AgriScot and exhibitors often cite it as the key event in their sales calendar.

Media coverage has become extremely well established, with all agri press, as well as local and regional press, giving strong coverage and all of the top agricultural journalists attending the event each year.

2020 – A VIRTUAL EVENT

In response to Covid restrictions, AgriScot 2020 was forced to pivot from a live in-person event into an oline event. Scene & Herd were instrumental in helping the organisers throughout the process, including in ascertaining the choice of online platform and planning the event programme and then successfully promoting to ensure the event exceeded all expectations in terms of numbers logged in and interacting.

“Scene & Herd involvement in all aspects of AgriScot quickly expanded as their skills became clear. The team now provide and extensive and very valuable service to the business. Each member of the team is energetic, enthusiastic, professional and well organised. I would have no hesitation in recommending Scene & Herd to anyone.”
