A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2024…

Well, there we go, another year coming to a close.  I must admit that, on a number of fronts, this year hasn’t been one of the best - not least because Monty is having to go through his gruelling treatment of chemo and radiotherapy.  The treatment regime should ‘soften’ a little for early 2024 and so we hope that Monty may be able to pop up and say hello a few times in the New Year.

In Monty’s absence, I have taken the decision that this year, instead of sending any Christmas cards or gifts, Scene & Herd will instead be making a donation to a Just Giving page for The Brain Tumour Charity that has been set up by a friend of Monty who is also going through similar treatment.

We’d be enormously grateful if you would consider donating too.  You simply need to click the link below:

Before I say farewell until January, and to give you something more upbeat to think about, I would just like to let you know about the RHET 2024 Gala Dinner. Taking place on Saturday 2nd March 2024 in the Pavilion at Ingliston, the event will be a night of good food and conversation to help celebrate RHET’s 25th birthday. The black-tie evening will see guests enjoy a three-course meal of delicious Scottish produce and an auction with a wide range of exciting prizes and experiences – all with the aim of fundraising for RHET’s amazing work to educate children about food, farming and the countryside.

Please consider taking a table, or heading along with a friend, or perhaps donating an auction prize.  You can find out more at: https://www.rhet.org.uk/what-we-do/rhet-gala-dinner/

May I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

With love,

Anna and the rest of the Scene & Herd team – and Monty sends his love too!
