Life's Too Short to Stuff a Mushroom

I admit it – I can sometimes be a little materialistic!  I love my neon pink leather sandals and my Volvo!  But as well as the luxuries, there are certain things which, quite simply, make my life easier, more pleasurable, or save me time - and I thought I’d share them with you (in the hope that you might share your tips in return….??)

My DAILY PLANNER.  I couldn’t manage daily life were it not for my planner notebook and pen.  I’ve used a few over the years and they’ve all been good.  The one I’m using at the moment though is specific to farm life and contains sections for house jobs, farm jobs, business jobs and more. It even has a section which helps make sure I’ve drunk enough water! It’s called the Farm, Life & Business Daily Planner – if you fancy one, you can get your hands on it by joining The Organised Farming Family Facebook group or via this link: https://buy.stripe.com/dR66sc2Bjedq0xi3cg

My APPLE AIRPODS.  These are perfect for listening to audiobooks (and the OnFARM podcast – www.podfollow.com/onfarm) on a dog walk or when exercising. Multitasking at its best.

My PHONE CASE.  It might seem a little nerdy but I have an amazing case for my phone which hangs around my neck so that wherever I go, I can’t drop it. It had been in the loo or face down in a field too many times and enough was enough.  Here’s the one I recommend: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1000393769/case-cover-with-rope-for-iphone-6-7-8-x?

My ROBOT CLEANER. If my husband had, without being asked, bought me a vacuum cleaner for Christmas I’d have been fuming! But this one I actually requested!  She (he!) sets off at 1 am every night and covers the whole of our kitchen/diner. I used to vacuum manually every day but since Euphemia (named after a lovely lady who was my grandma’s housekeeper when I was a child – and because the brand name is Eufy) arrived I now only need to vacuum once a week. As a friend says, “Life’s too short to stuff a mushroom” – and to vacuum every day! Save yourself HOURS every week: https://uk.eufylife.com/products/t2150

THE BATCH LADY Cookbook. Surely you’ve heard of The Batch Lady?  Based in the Borders and living on a farm, Suzanne Mulholland’s cookbook is a must-have in every busy home, helping you to create dozens of wholesome freezer meals in one session. Timesaver and gamechanger.

Please send me your top tips on gadgets or life hacks – I can’t get enough of them!

Meantime, have a super week.

Anna
