May we ask you for some help?

Whenever we write our weekly email updates, we focus on trying to help. I hope that, more often than not, we are able to do that.  Sometimes we offer snippets of PR and marketing advice. Sometimes we recommend really useful books to read or podcasts to listen to. Sometimes we’ll give you an easy access list of important dates in the agricultural calendar. Today, however, I was wondering if we might ask for your help?

You may know that two weeks ago we broadcast a podcast episode (www.podfollow.com/onfarm) featuring Andrew Arbuckle, former MSP, former journalist, former farmer and (believe it or not) former Scottish over 60s pole vault champion. Yes, really! I’m sure Andrew won’t mind if I tell you that he’s definitely beyond retirement age - and that got me thinking. The chat with Andrew not only makes for a superbly interesting 45 minutes, but it is also a piece of future historical archive. Andrew is a true stalwart of Scottish agriculture and there are many others like him. Each and every one of these men and women would be fascinating to talk to for the podcast and deserve to have their thoughts, views and stories preserved for more people to hear and learn from.

And so I ask you…..do you know of any business, perhaps even your own, who might be willing to sponsor an episode, or a series, of podcasts where we chat to some of the true heroes of Scottish agriculture, both because they are interesting but also so that we can preserve their voices and their stories in an archive for the future?

As well as being able to support such an endeavour, your business would also benefit from being associated with, and mentioned within, a podcast that is now ranking in the top 2% of global podcasts.

You’d be reaching several thousand people across rural Scotland with your messages.

We’d love to hear from you if you think you can help.  Simply drop me an email at: anna@sceneandherdpr.co.uk

Many thanks and have a great week. Anna
