Tip of the Day – can you help?

Hello and welcome to the first Scene & Herd newsletter of 2024. We all hope that you had a lovely festive season. We certainly did. Our top tip (courtesy of the wonderful Delicious Magazine) from this Christmas is to roast your potatoes in advance of Christmas Day and freeze them so that you only have to reheat them on the day. Game changer!

Well, there we go, another year coming to a close. I must admit that, on a number of fronts, this year hasn’t been one of the best - not least because Monty is having to go through his gruelling treatment of chemo and radiotherapy.

As the end of the year grows near, our thoughts inevitably turn to what we’ve achieved...or not! It's worth remembering that we are still living with the after-effects of COVID-19 and Brexit, not to mention the cost of living crisis which has been exacerbated by conflict and, for many businesses, 2023 has been every bit as challenging as the past few years.

Monty - an update

Communicating with the non-farming public

The Scene and Herd team are all expert communicators. Communication is at the heart of everything we do: podcasts, website design, branding etc, and we think we do it rather well. We also notice when others don't!

Religion and Politics

Three of my main life ‘rules’ are: Never discuss religion or politics; Whether you believe you can, or you believe you can’t, you’re right, Never wear black and navy together! I’m certainly not qualified to dish out fashion advice and the second point speaks for itself so I’m going to touch on the first one today.
